My Story

I'm a 33 year old momma, wife, pharmacy technician and heath coach! I love everything health and fitness related. We live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. A small town in the middle of the prairies.

In July 2016, I was at work, changing into my scrubs. Usually I was a unisex medium, but not this day. I pulled them up, tied them and bent over to pull on my shoes. OMG! The butt almost ripped out when I bent over! What? How could this happen. I wasn't a large? Was I? I sat down, tears in my eyes and looked in the mirror. I took a few minutes to try and think of what to do next. I grabbed the large scrubs and vowed to myself that I was going to change. It was that moment that I knew I had to make a massive change!

The next week I was ready to start in my first Fitness Accountability Group. The very first program I went with was 21 Day Fix. I woke up every morning, popped in my dvd and pressed play. I began using portion control containers a food guide to help plan my meals. In these first 2 months I had lost 17 pounds. Yes you heard me right! 17 pounds!! I felt great and was ready to keep going.

I was also introduced to the Whole30 program. I cut grains, dairy, legumes, alcohol and processed foods. My life literally changed again after those 30 days. Currently I follow a mix of Whole30 and Paleo eating, and what works best for me. Do I occasionally eat from those food categories, I sure do. But I now know how they make me feel after, which is kinda bloated and tired. So I try to stay away the best I can.

These days I workout daily, eat clean and share my passion with others! I started this blog to share all the recipes I try. I honestly really suck at cooking, but wokring on improving that. I'll also share my health and fitness tips I pick up along the way! I hope you follow along and maybe join in on your own journey.
